The Resurrection Monastery or New Jerusalem Monastery is a large monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Moscow region, Russia.
The Resurrection Monastery gave rise to the village of the same name, which grew into the city of Voskresensk (now known as Istra).
The monastery was founded in 1656 by Patriarch Nikon, according to whose plan the complex of the holy places of Palestine was to be recreated near Moscow.
