It was developed as a larger, improved 14-bed sleeper version of the Douglas DC-2. It is a low-wing metal monoplane with a tailwheel landing gear, powered by two 1,200 hp (890 kW) Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp radial piston engines. It has a cruise speed of 207 mph (333 km/h), capacity of 21 to 32 passengers or 6,000 lbs (2,700 kg) of cargo, a range of 1,500 mi (2,400 km), and could operate from short runways

Fall Asleep Fast to Fog Machine + Fan Noise Sleep Sounds
Relax to this fog fan noise for sleeping produced from a fog machine and box fan white noise for sleeping 10 hours long. This was a very fun sleep video to create! We hung a box fan from the ceiling, and just behind the fan we placed a fog machine. We then turn on the fog machine and it creates a beautiful luminescent fog, that is then pulled through the box fan as it spins producing that excellent box fan white noise. Both of these sounds complemented one another and are excellent as a sleep video, study sounds, or a background noise to block out other unwanted noises as you rest.
We hung the box fan and the smoke machine from the ceiling, so we could set the camera up below both of them for this video. Above the fan we strung glowing led lights facing downward, and ran them lengthwise so they would go over the fan and the fog machine. The lights make the fog glow! This helps you see the relaxing fog more clearly in the dark video, which is better for sleeping. This video produces excellent sounds for sleeping while giving you a relaxing visual aid to watch as you slowly drift off into sleep. During the deep stages of NREM sleep (N3), the body repairs and regrows tissues, builds bone and muscle, and strengthens the immune system.
As you get older, you sleep more lightly and get less deep sleep. Aging is also linked to shorter time spans of sleep, although studies show you still need as much sleep as when you were younger.
During deep sleep, a variety of functions take place in the mind and body:
-memories are consolidated
-learning and emotions process
-physical recovery occurs
-blood sugar levels and metabolism balance out
-the immune system is energized
-the brain detoxifies
Without deep sleep, these functions cannot take place and the symptoms of sleep deprivation kick in.
On the other hand, there doesn’t seem to be any such thing as too much deep sleep
