Тарантул — самая яркая область звездообразования в нашем галактическом районе, где проживают самые массивные звезды из когда-либо виденных. Туманность находится в 170 000 световых лет от Земли в Большом Магеллановом Облаке, маленькой спутниковой галактике нашего Млечного Пути. Ни одна из известных звездообразующих областей в нашей галактике не была бы такой большой или плодовитой, как Тарантул.

30 Doradus is the brightest star-forming region in our galactic neighbourhood and home to the most massive stars ever seen. The nebula resides 170 000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a small, satellite galaxy of our Milky Way. No known star-forming region in our galaxy is as large or as prolific as 30 Doradus.

Если «население» Вселенной разделить на социальные группы, наша галактика Млечный Путь будет принадлежать к крепкому «среднему классу». Так, она относится к самому распространенному виду галактик, но в то же время не является средней по размеру или массе. Галактик, которые мельче Млечного Пути, больше чем тех, что крупнее его. Еще наш «звездный остров» обладает как минимум 14-ю спутниками — другими карликовыми галактиками. Они обречены кружить вокруг Млечного Пути, пока не будут им поглощены, или же не улетят прочь от межгалактического столкновения. Ну и пока что это единственное место, где наверняка существует жизнь — то есть мы с вами.

Но еще Млечный путь остается наиболее загадочной галактикой во Вселенной: находясь на самом краю «звездного острова», мы видим лишь часть из миллиардов его звезд. А сердце галактики и вовсе невидимо — оно закрыто плотными рукавами звезд, газа и пыли.

Звука в космосе не слышно потому, что там безвоздушная среда, а наши уши воспринимают колебания воздуха. Но есть еще электромагнитные волны, которые беспрепятственно распространяются в вакууме, это ренгеновское и гама-излучения, ультрофиолет, видимый свет, инфакрасное излучение, радиоволны.

Вот, как раз сверхдлинные радиоволны и сравнимы по частоте с частотами воздушных колебаний, слышимых нашим ухом. Так, слышимый диапазон составляет 20-20000 Гц, а диапазон мириамертровых (сверхдлинных) волн от 3000 до 30000 Гц. И есть еще декамириаметровые (300-3000 Гц) и гектомириаметровые (30-300 Гц) которые по частоте так же вписываются в звуковой диапазон.

Непосредственно слышать такие электромагнитные волны мы не можем, так как наше ухо воспринимает только колебания воздушной среды. Но как любые радиоволны их можно принять антенной и передать на обычный динамик. Даже не надо никаких преобразований – лови, усиливай обычным усилителем звуковой частоты и слушай.

Что исследователи космоса и делают – улавливают от космических объектов сверхдлинные радиоволны и записывают их.

Wow, this was a fun video to set up and create! I wanted to go over the top for a Halloween special, and this video is that! I've combined many individual sleep elements from my previous videos, all into one super sleep sounds video! The first of which is a neon painted box fan, and glows underneath the shining black lights that I've turned on all around the room. As it starts to spin it creates almost a type of rainbow visual of a color wheel!

After I turn the fan on, I then lean down and turn on an air cleaner that has a wonderful white noise to it. I've slept many naps to just this sound alone. From there I then move on to turn on a Tesla plasma ball that gives you wonderful dancing light patterns to focus your eyes on as you fall asleep! I absolutely love them. They seem to go in all directions at once, yet never miss a spot. After that we turn on an electric heater! What fall or autumn sounds sleep video would be complete without a rumbling, warming, glowing heater!

Then, just to the right of the heater, we turn on an old school humidifier from the 1980s that has a lovely deep rumble to it like no other. This rumble really completes and fills in the gap in the sound from all the other white noise machines in the video. Finally we move onto the crescendo of the video and put 10 pounds of dry ice in a 5 gallon bucket of warm water. This creates an amazing bubbling water sound effect that completes our symphony of white noise! Similar to a brewing cauldron sound. What do you think of this unique creation?
