Когда-то в Ташаре был шумный речной порт. По Оби туда-сюда сновали грузовые суда, перевозившие лес и строительные материалы — с юга на север и обратно. А на сельском берегу гнули свои длинные шеи многочисленные портовые краны.
Село Ташара, что находится в сотне километров от Новосибирска, было важным перевалочным пунктом в перемещении грузов по большой стране. Но в 90-х годах выстроенная десятилетиями логистика нарушилась: крупные стройки сворачивались, леспромхозы закрывались, поэтому необходимость в речном порте отпала сама собой. Сегодня Ташара похожа на обычное российское село — с покосившимися деревянными домами и слякотью на улицах. Лишь пара оставшихся портовых кранов напоминает местным жителям о бурном прошлом.
Однако селяне не теряют надежды. Ведь несколько лет тому назад областные власти заговорили о переносе в Ташару грузового порта Новосибирска. И хотя дальше разговоров дело пока так и не пошло, в селе верят, что когда-нибудь вдоль их берегов вновь выстроятся в очередь грузовые баржи. А над Ташарой опять зазвучат длинные теплоходные гудки.
