Westinghouse Vintage Fan Sound for Sleeping 10 Hours w/ Dim Screen
Enjoy this Westinghouse fan from the 1950's! This vintage fan sound for sleeping 10 hours is like no other fan sounds of today's modern plastic fans. I really had a blast setting up this video production to create this relaxation sleep video for you.
We rented out a small box truck so we could record in the back of the truck. The large empty space really added extra echoing reverb to the fan noise, which is exactly what we wanted. This helped to amply the fan sound while keeping it relaxing for sleeping. Use headphones or a surround system to hear the full dynamic range of fan noise from this old school fan.
We played around with the lighting until you could see the back edge aluminum corners of the box van shinning ever so slightly in the sides of the camera. For this fan video we used my Nikon D7500 in 4k as it sat on the floor looking up at the fan. We then dialed in lighting so you would be able to see the fan blade turning slowly, while also being able to read \«Westinghouse\» across the front of the fan with a purplish blue glow that I found very relaxing. Let this combination of a slow moving fan, the deep heavenly sound, the soft glowing lighting help you drift off into a full nights sleep.
The fan noise audio was recorded from multiple locations throughout the back of the truck. We then combined all the different tracks into a single fan sound that is better than the original fan!

Sleep help done the right way, with this fan white noise for sleep! Stay asleep for 8 to 10 hours to these deep blue sleep sounds, produced from this vintage Galaxy Fan from the 1970's. I absolutely enjoyed setting up and filming this sleep video for you my friends as the fan sound sleep sounds produced from this fan are like no other. At 1 minute into this video I actually shut the fan off, and then turn it back on so you can see the hypnotic effect of the edges of fan glowing as I shut it off and turn it back on. Of course I already recorded the fan sound and I have it constant in the background for you to enjoy.
To get started I wrapped the back of the fan in cool blue LED light strips. This broadcasted a relaxing blue color into the darkly lit room. I did this specifically as the Galaxy Fan has transparent blue plastic fan edges. This is what causes the ends of the fan to seemingly glow as the fan spins. I absolutely love this hypnotic effect!
No only does this video give you a great, deep fan sleep sound, but it also gives you a relaxing visual to fall asleep too as well! As for the deep fan sound, I recorded the fan noise from multiple locations around the room. I then layered them all on top of one another to produce a \«better than real life\» fan noise for sleeping! I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Each of my videos are specifically designed to be optimized with headphones on. By listening in this manner you'll pick up the deeper relaxing tones, that wouldn't be heard otherwise. A Nikon D7500, Multiple Go Pro's, A DJ Mavic Pro Drone, A Tascam DR-40 for most of the audio recordings in mp3 format at 320 kbps, a range of microphones including a Sure 57 for that nice low end sound, a Sennheiser Sgun for the high end sounds. Then we overlay a second video on top of that video, which is echoing heater sounds recorded through a tube.
