Semi underground cabin & music studio alone in the woods.



In 2018 I've started to build my house alone in the woods in south of France. It tooks me around 9 months. It's inspired by the superadobe building technics (earth bag houses), but in rectangular form, covered by wood. The only powered tool I've used were a chainsaw. For the first month, I've slept in the tent you can see on this video, but due to a huge amount of snow fallen in a night, my tent broke so I used it only to store my food. I've slept on a hammock under a tarp during something like 6 months. What you can't see on this video is that I've completly covered the roof with earth. For using my electronic music instruments & lights I have a little solar panel and for cooking and staying warm I have a small wood stove that is normally used for yurts.
It's less than 8m square.

About the Piano, many questions are asked in the comments:
I moved the piano with two very strong friend during an entire afternoon trough the forest. There is a road up to my spot where I dropped the piano with a van. Normally walking from this point to my house takes me 10 minutes. But with a 100years old piano, it's not so easy. We put a carpet under the piano to let it slide slowly when it was possible to, but the little path is thin with ton of rock, and very sloping. I put the piano inside my cabin before making the door, because afte the final doorframe the piano is too big to pass trough. So basicaly now my piano will never be able to go back out.

Buy the land and build this cabin cost me around 5000€ (solar panel included).

I would like to thanks all my friends who came to help me, to dig, to cut & move the trees, to put earth in bags, to drive me to the store, to bring me some beers & cheese. to give me hapiness.

Rumbling Thunder and Rain Sounds for Sleeping — Dimmed Screen | Deep Sleep, Rolling Thunder Sounds



Imagine you walk through the ruines of an old castle while Rumbling Thunder and Rain Sounds echo through the old thick walls. You are entering a little room that is totally dark, except for this one spot, where a 10 inch whole gap in the wall. The lightning of the Rolling Thunder lightens the room from time to time and you see this little bench on one side of the room. You lay down and you feel how your legs are tired from the long walk to the top of castle hill. And then out of a sudden you fall asleep finding yourself in a relaxing Deep Sleep.

For this composition I used footage of my last trip to the castle Oybin, where I made some photographs that made it into the Dimmed Screen Video. It was kind of difficult to arrange the different graphic layers to find the correct perspective, but in the end I'm really happy with the outcome. For the audio, I used multiple sounds to create this Rumbling Thunder and Rain Sounds for Sleeping video. What else can I say?

Well, you can try to use the video, for relaxing sleep, asmr sleep, deep sleep, meditation, as a noise canceling device while you study or if you suffer from tinnitus and insomnia. You may also use it for stress relief/stress reduction.

★ 4K Cab ride Landquart — St Moritz (1250m climb) with snowfall [02.2020]



Thanks to Paolo, we are on yet another Rhaetian railway (RhB) journey in 4K quality, this time from Landquart to St. Moritz. Our initial altitude is 523m above sea level, which increases to 1775m by the time we reach our destination.
It's a mystic atmosphere as we make the climb, with boundless forests, patches of fog and snowfall all adding to the experience. Our goal is to release different versions of the same cab rides throughout the different seasons and weather conditions that we encounter here in Switzerland, so the viewer can experience and appreciate the vast array of what Switzerland has to offer.
Along the way, information about speed limits, tunnels, bridges, track projects and connecting tracks is provided for your pleasure. Enjoy your trip!
