Что такое Белый Шум?

Многие родители используют музыку или колыбельные для того, чтобы помочь своему новорожденному ребенку уснуть. Специалисты по сну отмечают, что так называемый «белый шум» может быть не менее эффективным.

 

Что такое «белый шум»?

Термин «белый шум» получил название от белого света, содержащего электромагнитные волны частот всего видимого диапазона электромагнитного излучения. Это равномерный фоновой шум, который не несет в себе никакой информации, поэтому через некоторое время человек его практически перестает замечать. Шелест листвы, шум дождя, шум дороги, шипение радио между станциями, а также такие обыденные звуки, как шум фена или стиральной машины.

Младенцам такой монотонный гул напоминает звуки, которые он слышал, когда находился в утробе матери. Как и все, что ассоциируется у новорожденного с тем безмятежным временем – приглушенный свет, покачивания — белый шум эффективно успокаивает ребенка в первые месяцы жизни, а значит, помогает ему быстрее заснуть и дольше спать. Данные наблюдений в центрах по реабилитации новорожденных США показали, что младенцы засыпают в три раза быстрее при включенном белом шуме, чем без него.

Со временем воспоминания об ощущениях в животе у мамы ослабевают, но белый шум продолжает быть полезным – он незаменим в создании спокойной благоприятной для сна обстановки, в условиях, когда днем или ранним вечером во время детского сна вокруг кипит жизнь, тем более когда в семье есть другие дети и животные.
