При показателе в -224°C считается самой холодной планетой. Периодически Нептун остывает еще сильнее, но большую часть времени мерзнет Уран. Верхний атмосферный слой укрыт метановой дымкой, скрывающей бури.
Есть два набора тонких колец

Частички крайне маленькие. Есть 11 внутренних и 2 наружных кольца. Сформировались при крушении древних спутников. Первые кольца заметили лишь в 1977 году, а остальные – на снимках телескопа Хаббл в 2003-2005 гг.
Имена лун даны в честь литературных персонажей

Все спутники названы по героям Уильяма Шекспира и Александра Поупа. Самой интересной считается Миранда с ледяными каньонами и странным видом поверхности.

Размер, масса и орбита планеты Уран
При радиусе в 25360 км, объеме – 6.833 × 1013 км3 и массе – 8.68 × 1025 кг, планета в 4 раза крупнее Земли и в 63 раза превосходит её по объему. Но не забывайте, что это газовый гигант с плотностью в 1.27 г/см3, поэтому здесь он уступает нам.
