Астроном и фотограф Юрий Торопин делится двадцатилетним опытом фотографирования звездного неба. Астрофотография делится на несколько видов: астрономический пейзаж, широкоугольная съемка звездных полей и наиболее сложная технически съемка объектов глубокого космоса. Фотолаборатория астрофотографа – это места с малым или отсутствующим уличным освещением, сельская местность или горы. В сотне километров от города на юг уже можно снимать. Для звездных фотографий подойдут обычные цифровые камеры, ими тоже можно снимать галактики. Минимальные требования – камера должна писать RAW файлы и иметь возможность ручного управления экспозицией и диафрагмой. Сам Юрий снимает на камеры Nikon и из всего разнообразия предпочитает модели с кроп-матрицей. Также в линейке бренда есть специальная «звездная» камера – Nikon D810A с измененным инфракрасным фильтром, который пропускает в четыре раза больше красного света в далеком красном диапазоне. При выборе объективов следует обратить внимание на модели с максимальной светосилой: AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8 ED, NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8 Ai-s, NIKKOR 180mm f/2.8 Ai-s, NIKKOR 200mm f/2 ED.

Важным моментом съемки звезд является «правило пятиста». Это определение максимальной экспозиции для конкретного объектива, при которой звезды будут оставаться точками и не будут смазываться в линии – делим 500 на фокусное расстояние объектива. Например, для объектива 50 мм максимальная выдержка получится около 10 секунд, а для объектива 20 мм – 25-30 секунд.
