This enchanting Victorian style fireplace with Christmas decorations (tree with lights, wrapped presents, gnome, rocking horse etc) will hopefully add some Christmas atmosphere to your holiday season! The letters at the top actually spell Merry Christmas, but it was too dark to capture it really well.
Anyway, it will burn all Christmas time to lighten up the spirit and calm down your mind…

The Bernina railway sets a few records, including being the highest railway alpine crossing in Europe (2253m), the highest adhesion railway of the continent, the open air railway with the greatest height difference (1824m) and furthermore one of the steepest adhesion railways (conventional railway without cogs) worldwide, with gradients of up to 7%.
The gradients are included in the upper right corner in the same format as they appear to the driver. The arrow indicates whether the gradient is up or down, the larger number is the promille value (1/10 of 1%) and the smaller number indicates the distance of the gradient in meters. You will also see station names with their altitude, tunnel and bridge names with their length and year of construction — as well as other interesting information along the way to improve your viewing experience.
A unique aspect of Switzerland's narrow gauge mountain railways is the mixing of passenger and freight wagons in a single train, with wagons often added or removed at intermediate stops with shunting locomotives. On the Bernina line, the cargo mostly consists of wood on stake cars and derivatives of oil in tank cars. Today we take a wagon with us from Pontresina to Poschiavo with good for a Coop supermarket.

This 8 hour video of Niagara Falls is meant to help you relax, meditate, sleep and calm your day. The natural sound of water flowing for 8 hours can provide a consistent white noise to help you fall asleep.
Horseshoe Falls is located on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. This video was shot in August 2018. The falls are 57 meters high. The bright green color of the water flowing over Niagara Falls is a byproduct of the estimated 60 tonnes per minute of dissolved salts and finely ground rock generated by the erosive force of the Niagara River itself. Niagara Falls is also a very popular honeymoon destination.
Why does the sound of falling water relieve stress? The brain gets a signal from the constant continuous sound that decreases the need for sensory input, thus calming us down. Helping us fall asleep more quickly and sleep more deeply.
The calming sound of falling water can block out noises that the brain would interpret as a threat. Blocking out the random thoughts of the day will lull you to sleep.
Try listening while you are working or studying. Nature sounds are natural white noises that are very powerful in drowning out distractions from the outside environment. This actually leads to better concentration and enhanced focus.
If you have tinnitus, certain environmental and health factors can make the sounds in your ear worse. Anxiety and depression can cause a vicious cycle making the tinnitus worse. By listening to this video, you are using a sound therapy which creates a distraction, with additional noise reducing the contrast between the tinnitus signal and the background noise.
Tinnitus gets worse at night because it is too quiet. Listening to the sound of water is one solution for those who can’t sleep because of the ringing, hissing or whooshing sound in your ears.
